Arizona natives Madeline and Christian first crossed paths at a mutual friend's Christmas party, and their connection instantly fell into place. After two years of dating, Christian asked Madeline to marry him with a romantic beach proposal while on a trip to Cancun. When planning their celebration, they focused on intentionally infusing their wedding day with the faith, family and heritage that shaped their love story.
The design of their celebration was centered around the beauty of blue and white Talavera pottery, which reflected not only Christian's Mexican heritage but his direct descent from the founding Talavera family. Soft blue florals were woven strategically throughout white blooms in the bouquets to mimic the culturally significant motif for the ceremony. Madeline and Christian participated in their nuptial mass at the church Chrisitan had grown up in, and their grand exit out of their ceremony was accented with playful bubbles floating about them before they hopped in a blue 1954 Chevy Bel-Air getaway car.
Arriving at the reception at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club, guests were offered guava mezcal margaritas—named Guevaritas as a nod to Christian's childhood nickname— on the sun-soaked outdoor lawn. The club's design supported the blue and ivory color palette, with soft draping and Talavera vases adorning the indoor reception. In a celebratory nod to the golf course venue, the couple took pictures on the green with a custom golf flag embroidered with their married name. —Ryley S. Hoff
