Zachariah Figurski and Jacob Romando exchanged their wedding vows beneath a wide-open desert sky in an intimate, warm celebration of their closest family and friends. The couple grew up in the same small town outside of Chicago and met through a mutual friend. After several years together, they moved to Colorado for a plethora of new opportunities. While planning their wedding day, Zach and Jacob wanted a small and intimate celebration with just 22 guests. They decided on an outdoor ceremony at Promise Rock at Boulders Resort & Spa, where the couple made their promises in the shadows of grand natural rock formations, surrounded by cacti and pale green flora. The evening sunlight created stunning contrast and orange highlights. Zach’s father served as the officiant, wearing a bright rainbow stole—a splash of color amid the glamorous black tie dress code. The outdoor reception embraced a vintage aesthetic in a charming desert garden where all the attendees sat at one long table with crisp white linens. Long after the sun set and shadows crept into the scene, the delicate white flowers shined under the string lights like stars.
