Sparkling Lights, Lush Italian-Inspired Florals in Timeless Wedding Day at Private Residence in Scottsdale

Beneath an elegant canopy of sparkling lights and lush vines, Michelle Reading and Kaid Weideman’s intimate yet opulent wedding was a tribute to all the people and moments that brought them together. Michelle’s brother first introduced the couple while both were on a trip to Arizona, and their love soon began to bloom. When the time finally came to plan their wedding day, the couple knew Arizona was the perfect location to honor both where they met and where Michelle was born. The wedding commenced at a family friend’s house in the neighborhood where Michelle grew up, adding an extra personal touch as the celebration was surrounded by family members and childhood memories. The back garden was transformed into a timeless Italian fairytale with an 80-foot floral structure adorned with deep green leaves, white petals and hints of pink. A twinkling array of string lights reflected off the pool, creating a magical atmosphere. Additionally, the wedding took place over Veterans Day weekend to honor Kaid, a naval pilot, and the many other veterans in attendance at the celebration. Kaid wore his formal uniform to the ceremony, and his service was recognized in numerous details throughout the day, like a special speech from Michelle’s father and a traditional naval exit ceremony, during which the bride and groom passed beneath arched swords held by fellow veterans. The gorgeous celebration perfectly encapsulated Michelle and Kaid’s love for their family and each other.
