“Colorful weddings are not a ‘new’ concept, but colorful weddings in dry desert scenery aren’t super common—not yet, at least,” says Lana Robinson of Let’s Bash Events. When approaching this photo shoot in Scottsdale, an “A-Team” of vendors sought to juxtapose the natural beauty of the desert with bold, bright colors. The palette revolved mainly around lavender with creams, pinks and salmon peppered in, as displayed in a fun stationery suite with scalloped details from Paper and Petals.
White bentwood chairs and low floral arrangements adorned the ceremony setup, allowing the natural landscape of cacti and foliage to frame the space. A midcentury modern lounge perpetuated the cool mood, as well as a stunning cake display, which featured a master-class confection with accordion detailing that echoed the design of the fluted pedestal table and lounge furniture. The bar and sweetheart table, both swathed in florals, added to the romance and splendor of the design scheme—as did the Champagne tower. Who doesn’t love a pour-over moment? For the reception, light, airy florals and pastel tapered candles lined the table, along with fluffy lavender knotted napkins, modern flatware and scalloped menus in a punchy hue. “We hope to see way more pops of color in the coming months,” says Robinson, “especially in the desert.”
